She's in parties (and magazines)

I AM FRONT PAGE NEWS. This is me on the front page of the Sheffield Hospitals Charity newsletter, oh year, beat that world. You may remember that at the opening party of the new TCT day room I chatted to several important people, one of whom interviewed me a bit... Well, here's the result! I didn't think I was important enough to be on the front page though, that's a total shocker. On page two there are all these people who have run marathons and shit and all I've done is sit around in a hospital eating crisps. The article is just about 'my story' (it's pretty cheesy and embarassing, they had to write it in that kind of leaflet tone, if they'd put it the way I said everything then the hospital charity fund would go bankrupt. "I LOVE THE HOSPITAL I RUN AROUND ALL DAY MAKING THE CORRIDORS SMELL OF GARLIC CHEESE") and how exciting the new day room is. The did say the artwork was beautiful though which is the biggest lie in the universe. They have these two prints of cartoon faces up which are the creepiest things in the world. Even creepier than me and some binoculars on a dark misty night. It's otherwise wonderful though :D

In other news my throat is being bloody awful again, I did the famous last words of "oh, I think my throat has finally buggered off" and now I'm a bubbling pot of mucus again. On Monday I'll have to have some swabbing fun to kill time before my heart scan... Party party!

Constanze :)

P.s And to the person who asked, I go to 95% of my appointments on my own. For many reasons really, mainly because I don't mind hospital but everyone else does and I don't want to make them sit there and be awkward while I have all the blood drained out of me but also because I like doing things by myself. Plus I can snack constantly and there's no one there to judge me...

  1. t'was me who asked!! (Janie) yeh, i'd be the same, i like doing things on my own too and snacking's right up there in the top three things to do by yourself, another of which is staring into space for hours and not having to make small talk and....i can't think of the other off the top of my head but there'll definitely be one. She's in parties...isnt that a song it seems familiar but havent thought of it for 3000 years...i thought the shine article was v good :-)
