Happy Birthday to me, I've got cancer you see

Evening guys and dolls and fleas and atolls. This post will be based on all the questions people seem to ask other people when they've just had a birthday because I like talking to myself.

How does it feel to be 21?

All is good here as I'm feeling remarkably well today. A new age and a new start? I mean, I've been feeling well for the entirety of being 21. Which is a whole 21 hours (I'm not counting the time I was asleep because you can't have sore knees in your sleep) and I think that's the longest I've felt alrightish since I got ill! I have a dull ache in my back and legs and I'm only a bit tired. This is amazing! I am well enjoying it, and I walked up the stairs without leaning on the wall to celebrate.

When I got back from the pub yesterday I did a bit of crying while sitting alone in my room but I think it was mostly eleation at my constant skill at not being dead. It really is very lovely to be alive and kicking (although admittedly less of the kicking bit) and be able to eat and stuff like that. Too easily pleased, me.

What did you wish for when you blew out your candles?

I know I'm not supposed to tell but I accidentally told someone else so the wish is already destroyed so I might as well piss on it's grave and really finish the job. My wish was crisps related (Much to everyone else's dismay, shouldn't I wish to get better and bla bla bla of course fucking not I've old you before life isn't worth living without crisps) as per usual, I wished that Wilko's would start stocking pickled onion Transform-A-Snacks again.

What did you get for your birthday?

I got many lovely things. Bin stickers, stamps, strawberry shots in test tubes AND a dotty stag necklace. BUT THE BEST OF ALL WAS THE LETTER TO SAY I'M GETTING MY BUS PASS RENEWED :D :D :D :D :D The number one cancer perk is BACK and YES and WOO. They managed to spend almost eight weeks trying to work out if I'm making the cancer up. Surprisingly enough, I'm not. Cancer aint the best joke to pull like. So happy. I can go out! Luxury.

What did you do to celebrate your sexy 21-ness?

Food. Drink. David Clarke.

I hope those questions helped you to understand the funtimes one can have with cancer and birthdays. I have many of both. Well, I don't have many cancers, I have many cancer cells, and actually that's a lie because I technically don't but if I don't take tablets my body makes them like a factory production line. I've also only had 21 birthdays, which I suppose with a life expectancy of 80 isn't that many. So really I don't have many at all. *sigh*

Soup time. Flavour? Anything not out of date.

Constanze.

xXx
